we now know
that Gingerbread will be released first on the Nexus S. And, according to the article:
In the U.S., the Nexus S will be available unlocked and without a contract at Best Buy stores on December 16. Although the phone is quad-band and unlocked, it was designed to run on the T-Mobile network. U.K. customers can pick up the Nexus S at Carphone Warehouse stores after December 20.
Since its being sold unlocked and without contract, and is designed to run on T-Mobile, which is a CDMA network, it will presumably run on the Sprint network. So, the question becomes will it be subject to the additional $10 fee, I wonder. If it doesn't, and if it isn't exorbitantly expensive, I may be able to get my husband off his stupid Lotus and onto an Android. That would be really nice.
