I purchased a 4500 mAh battery off ebay, not knowing i was going to win the auction at 99cents for the battery and $10.00 for shipping, with a new back cover.

I have read all the cautionary tales, but i thought if this can last till i get my tax return, then i can buy a $99 Mugen.

But, i must report, it has been EXCELLENT! Temps while charging stay low, and i can take my Evo 4g (0003) off the charger at 7:30 in the morning, and use it all day for phone calls, gps, a little web, and texting (HUGE TEXTER) and at midnight, i still have an average of 29% battery left!

After a month of use, I'm loving it.. Now if i can find a good silicone case to fit the thicker back, it would be perfect.

I just got off chatting with a Sprint representative. It was about an hour long chat. I managed to get a credit for a 2600mah battery. Let's see how it goes.

Recently bot the 2600mah extended battery from my local Sprint store based on some of the comments in this thread and others. VERY HAPPY with the new battery. I used to charge the original 1500mah batt all the time so that I would have enough charge while I was mobile; now I don't worry about it. I just used the phone for two days without charging and still had 40%.

The 2600mah batt comes with 2 covers (black & white) and it is a humpback, but not as big as the 3500 batt. In fact, I find the phone easier to handle than with the stock batt (I'm male, 6'1", average sized hands). The phone still fits into the "leather belt-clip pouch case with magnetic flap" (nerd case), just a little more snug.

Battery was ~ $50 at the Sprint store, but buy 2 items and you get a 25% discount on both, so bot a car charger, they threw in a free USB cable, and I'm out the door for $55 including tax.

Had one of the 2600 batteries from Sprint. I was happy with it for about a year. Then it started lasting for maybe 1 day when at first I could get 2, sometimes 2.5 days out of it. Decided to try the Seidio 3500. Worst battery I have ever owned. 1.5 days is max I can get out of it.
