I looked for this through this forum, and through google.

Curious if anyone knows of an App where you can set a number, to an icon, and have the icon on your homescreen, to touch the icon and it dials that number, sort of like an even faster speed dial?  or an "Icon Dialer"?  If anything ill just make the app and sell it. Tongue but let me know if you can find one!

Long press on a blank portion of your home screen.  Select shortcut.  Select direct dial.  Choose the contact you want.  Pay me. Wink

Press the + sign. Press Shortcut. Press Direct Dial (for calls) or Direct Message (for texts). choose the contact you want. Voila. (Obviously, make sure you have room on your screen for it first.)

If you look at this post of mine, you can see that I have three picture icons on my home screen (first picture). Those are to text my husband and two sons (see the little messaging icon?). The third picture shows the same people, with a phone icon. Those are shortcuts for calling them.

Push one button and you're connected. However, the first time you use them, it may ask you which number you want to call/text, but after that, it remembers (as long as you set it as default).

That I don't know.  I think there are some icon changers on the market.  I kind of like the little contact picture myself.
