I noticed there are two facebook apps on my EVO on Froyo 2.2 one is for HTC Sense, the other is just simply facebook, what is the difference?

The other question is... and I am hoping for a good answer, not that a bad one will have any effect on you either Smiley... but some phones on different platforms (especially blackberry OS5/6) no longer require email notifications for the app to detect a notification, some newer apps can do "push" notification and can do this independently of facebook emailed notifications anyway my point is can the android FB app do this? If so I'd be in heaven to turn off email notification!!!

facebook app is the regular "facebook for android"
fb for HTC Sense, is the one that comes preloaded and uses the Friend Stream.

for ur notification question.... no, it doesnt push notifications, but it does notify you and you can set up the frequency in the settings of the fb app.

so since it doesn't push, that means I would only get notified when it updates every hour (or whatever setting you have) and email notification is not required for this to work?  (push does not require email notification, older FB apps do though).

no is not... the email notification is separate from the app notification in our phones.
