On November 24, 2010, 10:20:08 PM, I created this thread and now I finally got the answer I've been looking for after a lot of research, long discussions, being banned from this forum and waiting for 5 months. (I guess that's not too long... or is it?)

I am still rocking a Palm Pre, but when I read the last few posts on this thread I convinced my girlfriend to end her contract with Team Mobile and join in on my family plan with the EVO 4G. After 1 day of use, she seems pretty happy with the decision she made. She was using a myTouch and paying $90/month. With her added line to the family plan- it's $180/month for 5 people, or $36/month per person on. Our plan has unlimited texting, mobile-to-mobile talk time, and data. How awesome is that? Thank God my cousin works for Sprint. Can you say Corporate Discount?

Yesterday, we received the EVO 4G in San Francisco through the mail, charged it overnight, and am just now getting a chance to play with the phone. Of course, the first thing I do is go on the Android Market to voraciously search for the Full HDMI app. I found it with no problem and was able to download it, but now we have to wait until we get back to my house in San Jose where I have my media center waiting and ready to connect to the EVO 4G for testing! The moment is finally here...

BUT... EVO 3D is coming soon. (I guess 5 months is too long relative to tech development.)

In the end, I guess I knew that this would happen. "New tech" becomes obsolete too quickly these days.

Run 2.2 un-rooted, was sent FullHDMI v1.3.9b. Installed ok.

When opened indicates I have unlicensed version, asks do I want to donate or use free version?

Tried to buy, no good, then selected free version. No luck either.

No longer available on any market – Full HDMI which is for rooted units only is.

Any suggestion how to get it working? Wii / computer not as nearly fast as EVO, keeps buffering. Have old PCMI phone card in router. Will lose unlimited data if upgrade to newer router.
