I do feel your pain though, I had a $300 TomTom stolen before.

This makes me wonder if I should turn on the passcode on the Evo.  Also wonder if I should install a remote wipe to erase all my personal stuff just in case it gets stolen too.

Well, if it's any consolation, at least you know you won't be getting a refurb. Man that does suck though. I commented to my boyfriend about making sure he took Asurion's insurance rather than Best Buy because it covers theft.

you have to call the sprint stores in our area in order to get a phone! online and sprint 1 800 is no use.  Every store gets a shipment once a week so, your challenge is to be there when they get them or know a Sales agent that will save you one!  I bought mine over the phone last week at my local sprint store ad thast what he told me

When using the insurance to file a theft claim, you can't go through the local stores unfortunately. Asurion is the replacement agent, so it has to come from them, not Sprint. Sucks, but because they're a 3rd party, Sprint won't fulfill their order obligations. They have to wait to get phones from Sprint just like everyone else. Sad

there an't no such thing as a cheap phone on ebay.

i beleive teh white one is scheduled for june 11. at bestbuy.

you need to call up sprint stores, radioshack. and bestbuy. find out when the next shipment is. specially with sprint.

the news is out. apple sold 1.7 mill POS's in 3 days. meanwhile, sprint is struggling with sell 200,000 going on week 4 now. what a joke.

i've been a loyal sprint customer for 10 years now. but the hottest item on teh planet and they can't sell the damn thing. and this isn't the first time this has happened.

Maybe they only sold less than 200k because they did not build more.  The EVO is sold out everywhere, here in North Virginia anyway.

My EVO locked up and Sprint could not fix it, now I'm waiting till the Radioshack I bought it in gets another shipment, and they have no clue when that might be.

Ok, It doesnt matter anymore what you "should" have did, its over, done. Now, I was on a waiting list for a new phone to get mine exchanged. It took 5 days for me to get a new one. I would say that you SHOULD have a new phone within 7 days at the longest. I would think so, anyway.

the girl @ asurion told me 5-10 business days, which sucks, BUT its better than nothing, at least its going to be a new phone, hopefully no defects, like the glass or whatever else is considered a design flaw.  LOL, i was lucky the first time, but this time, lets see.. i HOPE it comes in sooner than 5-10.. lol, thanks for all the comments and help guys.. im SOOOO GOING TO GET THIS THING ATTACHED TO MY HIP LOL
