Oh...let me just say that I'm gonna need to buy the extended battery.

I expected this, though, and I always have means of charging so it isnt an issue anywhere I go.

But I will still buy the extended battery.

So will I! Has anyone found one that is over 1800mah that doesnt require a bigger back plate by any chance?

I don't know why, but after have it the whole night charching from the wall, today it wouldn't turn on. I had to plug it to the wall only to turn on. The battery was full. Did anybody experience that?

I'm very happy with the battery life. I'm used to my Pre,, which got about 5 hours with not much use. I've been on this all day doing things I wouldn't of dreamed of on my Pre! With everything this phone does I was expecting to keep a charger with me at all times but its not as bad as I was thinking it would be.

For those of you who saw my previous post at 11:50 last night, I was at 18% and trying to kill off the battery.  With everything running that I could possibly do, 4g, wifi, gps, pandora, skymaps, internet, screen on, it took me another hour to get to 2% (after about 3 battery warnings)  I'm guessing it was about 6.5 hours of being in use.

Today, I'm running a Pandora test plugged into a radio.  I was at about 88% when I started.  One hour later I was at 75%.  I'll be checking hour 2 in about 20 minutes.

EDIT- 2 hour mark, 68%....we'll call it 65% becuase I checked a few min early.

Looks like I'll need a spare battery to be on the boat all day listening to Pandora.

So far I get the feeling this battery is the opposite of a DODGE.

Dodge- slowly lowers from full to half tank of gas...then drops like you have a hole in the tank.

Evo- quickly discharges the first 40%....then slowly for the remaining charge??

Got mine off the charger at 7am this morning after a full charge. Its now 6:42 and with normal usage im at 35% now. I would say its a win in my book. 12 hours of texting calls and FB and Twitter usage.

Yesterday I was concerned, after a full charge in the morning the battery was about dead by 8 at night. This was with moderate usage. I recharged last night, turned off all unneeded functions and after a full days use my battery has about 50 right now. This makes me pretty happy. Just have to see how it plays out with some more use.

That's great to hear!  I have a Pre now and am thinking of switching in July when my contract is up.  What are your thoughts of the EVO compared to the Pre?  Thanks Wink

Unplugged it before 930am, had regular/average use for a day, did some website surfing and google maps locating, phone calls. It is 1130 pm and the battery is still at >50%(thts 14 hrs). I am very happy if this keeps up. I have wi-fi,gps,and 4g disabled. I do not have facebook or friendstream.
HTC must of made some manufacturing mistake and given me a super mutant battery on steroids. I am thrilled. This is great!!!!

I give mine some pretty heavy usage, testing constantly throughout the day, talking a lot, browsing a lot.. might let my son watch a kids video to keep him quiet while out and about, so max on a full charge it looks like it lasts 4ish hours. I haven't tried optimizing it though as i dont really mind. I got the car charger and i can make due, if it gets annoying I am prolly just gonna get an additional battery and a dock/spare bat charger so i can leave with two ready to go! I am seriously loving this phone.

BTW nexusoneMOD live background is awesome! =p

I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH MY BATTERY LIVE

Fully charged at about 7am and died at 1am till it turned it self off.

Was using Wifi for about 5 hours, bluetooth 30 mins, and used it what I would consider a normal day for myself. No 4G

Well see how it lasts on my day off when i am using youtube internet etc.
