This is an update to the battery life i am getting with my Evo 4g on the standard red battery. I am amazed at my battery life now. On a stock red HTC EVo battery i am getting 5 hours 49 minutes 33 seconds. i use to have to walk around with an Extended 3500 mah battery and 2 other red HTC evo battery's. The Gingerbread 2.3.3 update has gave me a happier HTC Evo 4G. I just plugged it in the desk top charger to take the screenshot.

16 hours with reasonable use.  8-9 pushing it.  If I use GPS to nav in my truck I plug it in. I have all the syncs turned off except Google and Weather and weather set for 1 hour. No live wallpaper. If/when I sit down and play games, I expect less time. (duh).  The killer as we all know is the display.  I turn mine down very low (16%) inside. Go to "Auto" when I go out. Removed ATK. Keep 4g turned off unless in a known area. Bluetooth off unless needed. Leave WiFi on. GPS on. Got mine the day they came out and do not even want a new phone.  I still enjoy the phone.

I have an evo and its been amazing, the battery life does suck big time, the issue for me and I think most people is not buying a second or third battery, its the fact that HTC doesnt include a battery charging cradle to plug in your dead batteries at work or home to charge while your still on your phone, you have to put in your extra battery and when that dies charge it up again and swap batteries and charge the second one again, TOTALLY inconvenient, they should have included an extar charging cradle you could put by your desk and plug your phone in at the same time.

It comes with a charging cable which most of us seems to feel is succient. I have no desire for another large piece of plastic sitting around taking up space and collecting dust. If you want one, buy one, but I don't think those of us who don't want one should be forced to have one just because you want one. :p
