Will a cracked screen interfear with wifi reception ? I can't go more than 10 feet from my source without losing the signal. My internet provider boosted my signal to the max, and supplied me with a new modem / gateway as they call it. I can stand within a few feet and watch my signal strength go from full to nothing and back up again. The problem seems to have started after I droped my phone and cracked the screen. I used to be able to go anywhere in my house an get a good signal. Any help would most appretiated.

Sounds like you broke more than the screen. Just a broken screen alone will not affect your wifi in any way, you must have damaged something internally.

I doubt a cracked screen is the true problem. Simply because I'm having similar issues with a perfectly good Evo 4G, using a old Dlink 625 router. I've got to be about within 20', or I often loose and need to re-acquire signal.
A couple things to keep in mind and try here, what's the real power output of that router, and did the EVO Engineers really trim that Evo 4G's antenna, for optimum signal proformance?
I don't recommend attempting to trim the phones antenna, but, you could try an improved router antenna, or add an amp.
But first, just try the router, on a different frequencies, to see if you see any improvement in signal strength. Then, make sure you choose the best channel, that's the one that's strongest signal, with the least amount of activity or possible interaction with your routers. There may be several close by in your area, using the same default frequency settings.
