I am a little confused. What type of flashplayer is enabled in the Evo? I downloaded the system update they sent me today, and now I cannot view any flash backed platforms. It was no problem till I downloaded the update.  when I go to view It states to download the latest adobe player, but when I go to do so it says the phone does not support the player. So will anything in flash not open in the phone anymore? Thanks.

The Evo comes with Flash Lite, which is just a watered down version of Flash.  I am still able to view the same Flash content as before, and still unable to view the same content as before.

What browser are you using? Is it the stock or something else? Also, try a battery pull if you haven't already. There's been a couple wonky issues that have been fixed by just a 30 sec battery pull.

My flash player keeps crashing. I'll go to a website with a youtube link, i'll click it it'll play for like 10 seconds and then restart. It'll keep doing that over and over.... I have 2 batteries and i'm changing them every other week so I keep pulling the battery to put a new one in and it still hasnt fixed the issue. Any info would help.

Thanks!!! Smiley

Are you using the stock browser, or a browser app?

Are you using a 2.1 rom or are you running Froyo? Difference being flash lite vs. Froyo's advanced flash capabilities. Also, try using another browser app and see if it keeps happening either way. Could be a bug in the browser with the rom you're using.

I'm using OMJ's 1.6 r rom. Never installed any other browser in this phone so I'm assuming its just a bug then...

I had the same identical problem.  There was a problem with Sprint's server on the initial downloads of the 2.2 update. I contacted Sprint (verify if you choose) and was given the following solution.  It works perfectly!  The only downside is you will have to reinstall your applications.  If you're willing to pay $4.99 there's an app called "MY Backup" that will save your contacts and applications on their server which will allow you to reinstall after the "fix"

1.  Power the phone off.
2.  Press power button and volume down key at the same time.
3.  Scroll down using the volume down key to "clear storage".
4.  Press power key(do not hold it).
5.  Confirm reset(should be "volume up"--- if not it will tell you which)
6.  The phone will restart.
7.  Sign back on to your gmail account to retrieve your contacts.

* To insure as a backup your contacts will be saved, download http://www.htc.com/us/support/evo-sprint/downloads/.  It will synchronize your contacts and calender events on your computer.

Just so everyone's clear, what's described here is another way to do a hard reset meaning you'll lose everything, so go into this knowing you need to back everything up and be ready to restore from factory.

Why go through all of that when you can go into settings>sd&phone storage>factory data reset
