Some some issues with the evo 4g

1. Android market access is extremely slow. I've timed how long both the nexus one with glfroyo and the evo 4g take and the 4g takes at least 4x as long.

2. Data speeds seem extremely slow. Even with 4g on, YouTube videos take far longer to load.

3. Android maarket doesn't show paid apps. The top two colums just stay top free and just in. On the nexus one, I see top paid as well.

Would appreciate some help.

it seems that something is wrong with the connection... have you tried a simple battery pull?

also try contacting one of the members here pingpongboss, he also got an evo from the event and so far no issues with his!

there is a video mentioning a problem with the market been slow but that is pn the Froyo update. maybe it could be something similar?

None of these problems are occurring on my EVO that came from the Google I/O conference.

Thanks for the replies. I wonder if it has anything do with the fact that I reset the phone to factory defaults and signed in again.

I will try the battery pull and reset it again. Love the phone so far, though froyo on the nexus is noticeably faster.

i've read somewhere that the phones given out at the I/O show were sort of defective.  there was a known problem (at least to most of the phones) where the phone wasn't recognizing any memory card that was inserted.  lets hope these things don't happen to any that comes out tomorrow.
