You can just search for the developer.

Hey, that does work well.  The search box even offered the completion after I typed Philipp.

Yup, works great when its an app that has the same, or close to the same, name as many others. Narrows it down faster than scrolling down the page.

For some unknown reason, my 3500 mAH battery life is in the toilet again.  The Dec. update caused my battery life to drop dramatically.  I did all of the suggested tips to extend battery life but nothing seemed to work.  Eventually, it seemed to resolve on its own.  A couple of days ago my phone was acting glitchy, so I turned it off and did a battery pull.  I updated my profile and PRL yesterday.  Now the battery seems to be charging slower and is draining fast.  Took it off the charger and in 15 minutes, it discharged from 93% to 68%!  Looked at battery usage and Android is using 55%, cell standy is about 25%.  I don't know what's going on, but my battery life sucks again.

Hey people.. just figured out a little tip for stock evo battery. i got a refurbed evo a couple weeks ago and ever since, my batt life was terrible. i installed juice defender and can't really say if it worked or not,but i leave it on anyway. So, i noticed my battery would drop below 88% within not even 10 min of being off charge first thing in the a.m. (check email, facebook, and a call or two) and continue to suck ALL day. So here's the tip (if the same thing happens to you)...Once you take it off charge and do your morning routine then put it back on charge till full and it should be fine all day w/ med. to heavy use (after 12-14hrs i still have 40%+ consistently)
I have no idea why and it could just be mine but its been working. If i dont put it back on charge and reload that 10-12% it turds.
So, thats it. First post. give some feedback. thanks

Good tip that may or may not make a difference (see our Battery FAQ regarding the indicator and its approximation). Been mentioned before a bunch of times but thanks for the input. Smiley

Did you just thank someone for posting something that has been mentioned before?  Have I somehow slipped into an alternate universe?  Wink

Had been getting good battery life from using all the tips found in this forum.  All of sudden the battery drains quickly during the day when not even being used.  Have had some nights where the phone is charging all night long and is still not fully charged in the morning.  Tried switching chargers, even tried a different battery, but can't seem to identify the problem.

I've read/scanned most of the battery-related posts (didn't read every single word on all 24 pages of posts though).  I've searched, read the FAQs, tried the battery conditioning tips, turned off Background, Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, Mobile, etc when not in use; updated PRL.  Phone is not rooted.  Mostly used for text, email, internet, but probably a light to medium user in comparison to most.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this problem?  Tips to fix it?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

My Evo 4G has been acting strange for a few weeks now: battery life getting short and non-responsive in some apps. Today, I noticed that it was getting very warm in my pocket, even though on standby, and when I checked CPU usage, it was constantly 100%. At first, I suspected the system upgrade, but then I remembered that it was mostly non-responsive in the Camera app, especially when loading pictures. So I started suspecting the SD card. I then simply took out the current SD card and put a different one in. Immediately, the problems disappeared. Just wanted to share this, in case somebody else has similar problems.

So how do i find/fix the problem?  My wife and I both have evos. I have compared running apps, checked what is using the battery, etc.  Can't find anything that looks unusual.

Well I don't post much these days but I got a story to tell. Yesterday, thanksgiving of all days my battery went dead, not just drained but near death as many of you have described in these threads. It barely kept a charge and took hours just to get to 50%. And then if you use it it'll be in the red in 15 minutes! What really let me know something was wrong was that the battery would not charge while I used the phone, even got a message that the charge was not powerful enough to support usage.

So I went online and start looking at battery prices, good ol Amazon.com, so many reviews were mixed on buying batteries, fakes, imitations, used not new, wrong battery, sent the battery for the incredible not the Evo! It was crazy trying to decide! Eventually I went and ordered one for $1.75. Not expecting much but even an imitation would be better than what I got right now!

Then I decided to visit my local sprint store where I hear a new battery could cost up to $40! I figured I'd take my phone and charger and get everything checked out. I let the tech know my battery was acting up, he tested it, agreed it was bad, pulls out a brands new factory sealed battery from the plastic, handed it to me and sent me on my merry way!! So woohoo a brand new battery straight from the sprint store! No $40 fee, no insurance issue, no how old is the phone, normal wear and tear talk!

So it was a good day, dont underestimate the value of taking it in to the store, may save you money and the worry!
