My outlook crashed and I have all of my contacts and calender events on my Evo, I would like to send them back to outlook if all possible.  I did a search for this but all I found was going from outlook to the phone and not from the phone to outlook.

Thanks

Take a look at MyPhoneExplorer Client by FJ Softwaredevelopment  in the Android Market.

You will also have to get their software for your PC from their web site.  It's free, but you can donate if you wish.

I know it moves things from the phone to outlook because I see all my short SMS contact numbers in Outlook contacts.

HTC Sync works well unless you have Outlook 2010.

My old computer wouldn't run HTC Sync.  When I replaced the computer I discovered it doesn't play nice with Outlook 2010.

There is one caveat with using MyComputerExplorer.  It will only transfer phone numbers over that Outlook recognizes the category of.  For example business, fax and home work fine, but company main does not.

UPDATE:  I realize that I was using another app to generate the "company main" designation.  I did a factory reset a while back and never reinstalled that app, so the phone numbers were store in the category "unknown" .  Once I changed them to "work", Outlook accepted the data.

My Phone Explorer works really well.  I've used HTC Sync and didn't like it.
