That is the title bar in a message I get when trying to sync my EVO 4G.  The phone was working fine with Outlook until November when Microsoft pushed an update to Vista.  Since then, I get the following error in a window  titled "Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library" that pops up:

Debug Error

C:\program files\htc\HTCSYNC3.0\htcupctloader.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way.  Please contact the application support team for more information.

The other odd part of this is that my HTC Sync program does not even see the phone.  I've reloaded the program twice and still nothing.

Anyone got any ideas?

Are you able to mount your phone normally?

When I plug my phone into my computer in the Sync mode, the HTC Sync program does not see my phone.  I can plug in my phone as a disk drive and the computer sees the phone and I can exchange data such as pictures, files, etc.  I called Sprint and they handed me off to HTC, HTC told me it was a Microsoft problem, and I have been unable to find a solution on Microsoft's website.  I did load Visual C++ again but that did not help.

My last successful sync was at the end of October last year.  An update to Vista was loaded in mid-November and the sync function has not worked since.

Have you tried uninstalling the update on Vista?  Something else you might look at - is usb debugging enabled on your phone?  It's under menu>settings>applications>development.

I have had the debugging option checked.  I was hoping that I could find a way around the problem vs returning to reset point back in November.  The fact the computer does not even see the phone in the sync mode seems to be the key to the problem but I have no idea how to fix it.

Guys
I am experiencing the same problem, and every time when I plug in my phone I get the same message
"C:\program files\htc\HTCSYNC3.0\htcupctloader.exe".
Have anyone figure out how to solve that issue, I can't sync my phone already for almost half a year, what a heck!!!!Please, help if someone knows.
I re-installed the HTCSync program for dozens times and also use that debugging modes, even read help pages in htc website.Nothing works.sh*t how to solve that synchronization problem. Why HTC Corp always gives some problems to their customers, if they release new update why need to place that bug, before update everything was fine. Please help

Have you tried restoring to factory default and/or taking it to Sprint to be looked at?
