Now that would be an app I would buy. The AirRave Teleport app. Go where your AirRave says you are! I'm going to aim mine at Hawaii

Mine does the same I never knew it was an issue with my old blackberry.  Mine shows my location as Clifton Heights or Upper Darby, both are outside Philadelphia. Philly is an hour or 3 drive away depending on traffic.

I noticed that the location was correct at home the other day right down to the section of town I live in the other day. I had the GPS antenna on a window silll and the cat must have pushed it off. I put it back up and in hours the EVO was in Clifton Hieghts again.

I had the same issue.

I went to Sprint.com | My Device & Media | Update my AIRAVE.

A "Manage AIRAVE™ Access Point" window popped up. I selected the ZIP CODE tab. I entered my home zip code in the "Enter the zip code where you will be using your device" field.

Clicked on Save.

Problem solved.

I have this issue and that solution didn't work for me.

I did as you suggested, saw my zip code was in there, toggled it to another one nearby, saved, then put it back to my town.  It seems to be working now, thank you!

The reason why the city for weather shows somewhere other than where you live with an Airave in your home is simple: as far as Sprint is concerned, when you are within Airvae coverage your local cell tower is not the "real" one nearest your home - it's the switch site where the Airave is terminating over your (wired) Internet connection.  In other words, the EVO is determining it's location for the weather service not via GPS but via the Sorint CDMA network using the cell/sector to which you are connected when not on the Airave.  But when you are within Airave coverage the "local" cell site is the switch to which the Airave is connected via the Internet - not the local macro site near by.  When you leave the Airave's coverage area and re-enter the Sprint macro network, the cell towers to which you connect are used to establish your location for the weather feed from that point on.

I have the EVO. I haven't had weather issues, but my clock was stuck on "Taganarog, Russia" for almost a whole day when I was in NY. It happened again (diff day) when in Louisiana. I fly for an airline, and my phone and the correct time are crucial. This really annoyed me.

Mine always says that I am in Singapore...
The only problem I have with it, is that it makes my text msgs go in the wrong order since my phones clock also thinks we are in Singapore!

You most likely will have to do a factory reset in order to fix the problem. There are instructions in our Frequently Asked Questions section on how to back up your phone and do a reset.

Has anyone seen this issue lately? I am trying to find a location where is can be reproduced consistently.
