I've tried hitting the delete button myself a few times to no avail.

Sometimes, once you've typed and finished, delete becomes a thing of the past.

I guess your best bet would be to hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete and "end the task" while it's still running.....otherwise the process will soon finish.

Instead of ending the task, it's best to just finish the job like you intended and just hope that nothing gets saved. But if it does...you better hope it gets deleted...haha ah that was bad, but I couldn't help it.

I always finish the job as intended.  I just make sure I have anti-virus software and a good firewall installed.

Since firewalls can get in the way, sometimes I'd rather just go without and have the information saved in other places instead of the main computer.

I understand, and have no problem with that.  Kind of like a flash drive in a usb port?
