root explorer costs money, is their any other app that i can use to do this?

n/m found the apk online

I cant get it to work either Rom X

i copied the libflashplayer.so to that directory and made the correct permissions on it

then i installed the hulu app

and the hulu app runs and looks fine -- lets me choose videos to pick, and loads the screen up like they're going to play

i attempted to play family guy/the office several times

then the video player goes to 'loading'

then it goes to a black screen that says
ad: your video will resume in 30 seconds

hulus advertising partners allow us to provide free viewing experience to ensure advertisments play properly
blah blah blah

then it goes to a quick FOX advertisment

then it just goes black, and eventually (several times not everytime) i wound up on some advertisments page that i couldn't close out off( red cross donation page several times that i had to close hulu down )

any ideas why the videos dont start playing?

i just tried to play a short movie trailer and it says

Sorry, we are unable to stream this video. Please check your internet connection and try again.

I am currently connected to my homes WiFi which is plenty fast enough to stream hulu vids so thats def no the cause

tried rebooting, and it didn't help -- tried to uninsatll my ad-free root app in case it was causing issues by not allowing ads to run properly, also tried to load shows from within my browser, and it didn't work either

What i dont understand is the shows start 'loading' - -like they have a loading screen and also a 3-4 second fox advertisment video for the show before the show. The first minute of the video appears as if everything is going fine, but the video's never actually load

EDIT 10am:

Finally got all the files needed to do it Kassey's way so i am going to let my phone gain some more charge, then attempt the flash and report back with my findings.

EDIT: Got this error when trying to flash the flash_me_for_hulu.zip

ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.0.5

-- Installing: /scard/FLASH_ME_fOR_HULU.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
amend scripting (update-script0 is no longer supported.
Amed scripting was depracted by google in android 1.5
it was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the clockworkmod 3.0 gingerbread based recovery
please switch to edify scripting (updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages
installation aborted.

What does this mean, and what do i need to do to fix this

EDIT: (I Have found the answer to anyone else experiencing this issue)

To give you back history, there are currently two ways to create "update.zip" scripts. The first one is "update-script", also known as Amend. It was the first version of the scripting language created by Google, and was used in Android 1.0 and Cupcake (1.5). However, Amend has two serious design flaws:
Function arguments can not span more than 1 word.
The scripting language is compiled into the recovery causing image bloat and inflexibility.

Because of this reason Google REMOVED Amend support in Donut and beyond, and instead switched to update-binary and updater-script, which is also known as Edify.

However, Amon Ra and I kept Amend support in, to help ease the transition off its usage in ROM creation. CyanogenMod itself has already switched to Edify 9 months ago.

With the recent Gingerbread source code drop and the upcoming CM7 release, I needed to merge the latest changes from Google's Gingerbread recovery into ClockworkMod recovery. This meant finally removing Amend support, and switching fully to Edify. If you flash ClockworkMod 3.0 or higher, it will no longer install Amend (update-script) zips. Version 3.0.0.4 will show you the following message:

-- Installing: /scard/FLASH_ME_fOR_HULU.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
amend scripting (update-script0 is no longer supported.
Amed scripting was depracted by google in android 1.5
it was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the clockworkmod 3.0 gingerbread based recovery
please switch to edify scripting (updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages
installation aborted.

So to put it in lamens terms, basically you cannot flash this hulu thing with the current clockwork recovery, you would either have to flash amon ra or an older experimental clockwork recovery (as it is put at the bottom of rom manager) in order to do so. I am going to look into re-flashing a different recovery and attempting this again. and will post my outcome later today after i receive a response on my latter question .

Now, my next question is, if i use rom manager to flash the RA recovery, does this just overwrite my current clockwork recovery, but still give me the ability to return to clockwork recovery after i finish flashing this hulu update? as i would like to continue using rom manager in the future ?

EDIT: Okay, i flashed Amon RA and was successful in flashing the

Flash_me_for_hulu.zip

then i rebooted but it would not allow me to uninstall adobe flash player

it kept saying uninstall unsucessful and the same when i tried to upgrade with the hex edited flash apk

i was able to install the hulu app but now it says

"sorry hulu is no available on your device' when i try to play videos

how can i go about manually uninstalling adobe flash and reinstalling the hex edited version?

i tried to do this using astro file manager but it kept telling me the uninstall was unsucessuful
