Sprint's Consumerist Hotline

The story is somewhat old but apparently the hotline still works and still goes directly to Sprint's executive customer service department for those who have issues that need to be resolved and haven't been resolved through "normal" channels.

NOTE: This should not be your first attempt at resolution but only used if you haven't been able to resolve the problem through regular channels.

Quote
Sprint has set up a special phone number directly to the executive customer service queue just for Consumerist readers.

Use this number
1) For good
2) If you have a major problem with Sprint
3) After you have communicated with at least two different customer service reps and asked to be escalated to a supervisor at least once.

Wow, this is very useful and could come in handy if you happen to run into stubborn customer service reps.

Thank you!

You may be surprised what a lot of people consider an Emergency/ Critical issue.

People call 911 systems every day cause there fast food establishment is out of fried garbage.  I hope that # doesnt get abused.

Yeah, there was a news story on the radio today about some guy being arrested for calling 911 to bring him beer. Seems it was about their 80th call since the beginning of the year. I'm sure they get bogus, non-emergency calls at that Sprint number but I'm equally sure they've become very good at weeding them out over the years.

I HAVE HAD GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM SPRINT
I have been a Sprint customer for over 10 years. In the early years I had a couple issues with customer service, but in recent years have had great service. In Dec 2009, while in Ensenada, Mexico I had a heart attack. While in the hospital in Mexico both my wife & I made numerous phone calls back to the states which added up to over $220. After I recovered and got home, I called Sprint and explained the situation asking for a payment plan, (I am old and on S.S.) The rep put me on hold and came back 5 minutes later and advised me that Sprint was going to credit me back for all the calls made from Mexico the 3 days I was in the hospital. Customer Service doesn't get any better than that.
