Uploaded new HTC software yesterday morn. and well my phone was as slow as Bell Atlantic  so I went to my dealer and he showed me a memo from Sprint stating Sprints 4G service went down , now I would advise.anyone who haven't updated to wait . My evo is dial up service slow. Wait till Sprint gets their act together.  Imo. Voice search not working properly. I repeat I WOULD WAIT.

This may just be an isolated problem in your area. I updated my phone Friday & love that now I can use 4G without my phone lagging or my battery dying within 2 hrs. Additionally it appears that Sprint & Clear have invested more resources in the Houston network cause I've been getting an average of 6.5Mbps down with 2 or more bars and an average of 3Mbps with 1 bar. I used to rarely get speeds over 2Mbps a few months ago.

Last night I was out with friends and was showing off the 4G capabilities of my phone. I think I convicted a couple of them to get Evo's. Smiley

Sorry, that 4G is not working properly in your area.

I'm talking real slow ,I do not now if its the update or not any one in the metro ny area experiencing same problem.. its worse than dial up . My dealer say he will exchange my phone if this persists to unupdated phone.

Same thing happened to me.  After the update my 4G stopped working.  Tech support said there was a national outage as of the 16th but when I went to a repair center they said my phone was defective and issued me a replacement (for $35).  Working fine now.
