Hi there, Im currently on ATT with 2 iPhones on a family 700 minute plan.
I pay about $140 a month, the part that blows is that i have ZERO service at my house..
ZIP nothing,

I fought and fought with ATT to get into the Microcell beta program to be able to use my phone at my house but they wont give me one and the microcell launch keeps getting delayed.

I have HAD it with ATT and frankly tired of the iphone, I have over 10,000 rollover minutes and ATT has givin me only a 3 month credit on my bill after admitting that I have been paying them for nothing, I still have almost a year left on my contract but I can pretty easily get them to waive my ETF..

I have had a stellar payment history with ATT, I paid them $100 deposit per line and got it back in 6 months no problem..

Think Sprint will try and nail me on a deposit if im porting over from ATT?

Also I dont use all that many minutes, does sprint offer a shared family plan under 700 minutes a month? and How much cheaper would it be then my current $140 iphone bill?

Anyone know if Sprint is offering any credits for jumping ship from ATT on a Bizz plan?
(im with ATT with a PRO number from work.)
Thanks!

I think you'll be surprised at what you get with Sprint, for less money.

The plan you need is called:
Everything Data Family - with Any Mobile, AnytimeSM

$129.99 will get you
Anytime Minutes: 1500 shared
Number of Lines: 2 lines (additional lines at $19.99 per line)
Any Mobile, Anytime: Unlimited domestic calls from the Sprint network to and from ANY U.S. mobile phone regardless of carrier. Any network, any time.
Unlimited data: Web surfing, email, BlackBerry Internet Services (BIS), GPS Navigation, Sprint TV and Radio, NASCAR Sprint Cup MobileSM
Unlimited messaging: Text, pictures and video
Talk: Night calling and weekends starting at 7 p.m., nationwide long distance and no roaming charges. Lines 1-2 included. Lines 3-5 are $19.99/mo./line.
Unlimited Direct Connect: Direct Connect and Group Connect (for capable phones)

Now with the EVO, there is a $10 EVO 4G service charge, if you want 2 EVO's, then add $20

And you should really find out if you get any employer discounts, I get 27% and work for one of the top US financial institutions. But many many companies offer discounts to their employees.

And the best part is that you should get service in your home (even if you don't, you can get a free Sprint AIRAVE and that will solve your problem)

My situation mirrors, to an extent, that of yours, Death. I am with ATT with 2 iphone 3gs's and get no service in my apartment. I fought with the customer service and 3 levels up of supervision only to be told again and again that my lack of service at my hold is not their problem and that there is no way to get out of the contract without paying an ETF. It's screwed up but that's ATT for you, horrible customer service, partially I believe due to their efforts lobbying for 2 straight years a few years ago, something to do with not having to agree to the same community standards that all other providers had to abide by.

So I'm just going to pay the friggin ETF for both phones and be done with it and steer anyone I care about away from ATT.

That's not the point tho, I was going to tell you about the AIRAVE system that Ryu touched base on. I don't know all the facts myself but I do know the AIRAVE is a miniature tower that you set up and hook up to a power socket and spare ethernet port from your internet adapter. It costs $10 for a single line and $20 for multiple lines per month and an upfront cost of $99 for the hardware. With the tower active you will get unlimited calling when running off of that tower and then when you leave the house your phone automatically connects to the nationwide network.

That's all I know about it.

Question tho Ryu, you said you can get it for free? How is this possible, and the service would be free or just the initial cost of the hardware would be free?

if you can prove that you are in a dead zone for sprint, you can talk your way into not paying for the equipment ($99). My experience with this is that customer service via chat are very understanding and when setting you up with a sales rep, they honor the waiver... but you HAVE to be on a dead zone...

I have  the 1500 simply everything plan and with my company discount it counes out to about 106 dollars total. If we added to evo's with 4g that would push it close to 130 i suppose

Unfortunately, the plan Ryu outlined is the lowest family plan they offer.  I just checked it out for me and my fiancée and would have liked less minutes because neither of us use very many, especially with Sprints unlimited mobile to mobile.

Are you both getting an EVO?

I think she is gonna get one when her contract is up  She wants to see mine first.  She actually has an issue with her left hand where it never fully developed so she basically can only use her thumb and partial use of one other finger on it, so she needs to see if she can hold it and type efficiently.  I am pretty sure she will love it though.

YA Know, I am right handed and I see everyone hold their phones and use their left thumbs to do things.  I can't do that, I hold my phone in my right hand, when I type I kinda use both and use both thumbs - sounds kind of strange, but it is comfortable for me.  As I told you on other  threads, I am just waiting to see how large it is for my hands.  I tried the HD2 and it seemed OK.

Wow, I have been trying to sell the wife on giving up her iPhone due to the monthly cost being alot cheaper with sprint... Looks like it would be $10-$20 MORE per month for 2 evos, than 2 iphones..

So there is no less than a 1500 minute plan on sprint with full data?.

Im currently paying $136.03 per month for the 2 iphones and thats with a 17% corp discount,..

actually looks like I qualify for a 25% discount through my company...

EDIT:

looks like the 1500 everytime plan would come out to $97 and change, but I still get nailed with the $10 per evo charge, even though I wont be using 4g 99.9999% since Im not even close to any 4g areas...

I Wish they would do a 450 unlimtied data plan, then we would REALLY be in good shape, this would be a great deal compared to the ATT iPhone plan.

Hmmm, I forgot what plans I and my girlfriend went with on our iphone 3gs. I pay 205 per month, so it might be the 2 lines with unlimited talk, data, and text. I should really know what my plan is haha, but as it turns out it doesn't really effect me each month. My phone bill comes out of my SSD account, so if it's $40 cheaper than I still wont see that money, as it can only be used in the event of needing gas/food/important expenses that I can't afford with my own savings. I kind of have a payee because with my condition I'm prone to radical spending...........
