Me and my dad are on the Everything Messaging Share Plan: 1500 any time minutes, and unlimited text for $99.  We also have a Data pack which gives us unlimited web, email, basic tv, etc. etc. for an extra $15/month.

Does anyone know if we would be able to stay with this plan (because we are paying for the data pack) or will we have to actually get a different plan i.e. Simply Everything or Everything Data since I want to upgrade to the Evo???

Right now we are paying about $140/month (taxes and all included).  What plans (that are compatible with the Evo) will have us paying about the same (excluding the $10 mandatory 4g fee)??

Thanks in advance.

All I know is that with the EVO you will be required to take one of the Everything Data plans. The most compatible plan would be the family everything data plan with 1500 shared minutes for $129 that includes unlimited text and data (up to 5g) and any mobile to any mobile free and nights/weekends from 1900-0700. Obviously you have the extra $10 fee per evo, allowing for truly unlimited data.

That plan allows for discounts fortunately, I am going with that plan myself on the 4th.

Now I have a question people, if my girlfriend has an outstanding balance from her old contract with sprint and it isn't paid when I try to add her as a line and get an EVO for her, will she be able to be on my plan or will she have to have the debt payed off first. Furthermore, would she be able to get an EVO at the discounted price as one of my lines if she still has debt with sprint, assuming she could even get with sprint having a debt?

I am thinking not, so it seems like a silly question, but I wanted to be sure.

Since your account is in good standing (I assume) I think there might be a way for you to work around getting your girlfriend on your line.  If all the transactions are done in your name I don't see why not.

Well Best Buy called today and wanted to know if I would need an InvisibleShield and I said yes for one of them but wasn't sure if my girlfriend wanted it or not. While on the phone I asked about having people on my lines with debt to sprint and getting the evo at the discounted price. He said since it was on my name and credit then it shouldn't be a problem and that she should be able to get her evo for the new customer price.

So I'm a happy camper, and maybe we can use that $475 on our Florida trip in August and pay off her sprint bill in increments... maybe...

You will get the hotspot for a month or so free anyway, so hold off on that.  That is a lot of money, I would see if there is another way to do it (*cough* rooting *cough* )

That makes me a little mad. So I have to pay (convince my dad to pay) an extra $10 a month for the same 3G service?
