I have seen instructions somewhere if you are rooted to remove htcloggers.apk just can't remember where I saw it.

**edit**

http://www.goodandevo.net/2011/10/how-to-easily-protect-your-htc-evo-by-removing-htcloggers.html

I tried to follow this but I dont think I downloaded the right ZIP file.  I clicked his link and it lead to me to a site that downloaded "iLividSetupV1.exe", sorry for the ignorance as I am sure it is a user error on my part.  It was supposed to be "loggers_remover.zip" so I'm not sure how to get that file.

The real big Download button at the top of the screen is for something else. You need to click on one of the smaller Download buttons below it. It took me a few minutes to figure it out.

(this is why i <3 my evo) I clicked this link from my evo's web browser, downloaded the ZIP, opened the notification bar and clicked the finished download, opened it up with ROM Manager and it did the rest!  Took all of about 5 mins!

Thanks!

My phone has been restarting randomly since the update. And it seems like my free space has dwindled quite a bit since the update.

My wifes phone started rebooting...11 times in an hour the other day,  went to Sprint and they just gave her a new phone,   not bad after almost 17 month, this one seems good but when importing her contacts there seems to be 3 to 6 entries for each   LOL

I'm guessing I'm going to have to go to Sprint and get a new phone. My phone is restarting 4-7 times a day since the update. I tried removing the battery and it still does it. It seems to do it whenever I try to do two things at once. And honestly, it must be something else as well. I keep losing phone memory every week no matter how often I clean the cache and/or remove programs.

Did you do a factory reset?  If not, that may be the answer.  Certainly Sprint will do that if you haven't.

Hi
i saw a notification for this update today on my phone but i didnt let it execute because my phone is rooted.  I have android 2.3.3 and sw versoin 4.24.651.1.   My question is should i download it or do i need to unroot first and then do it and re-root or should i should just ignore it and leave it alone?   Since its rooted, i tend to think it might cause a problem but i wonder about the security issue

thanks

As usual, it is highly recommended that you NOT accept an OTA if your device is rooted, as it may (and probably will) mess up your superuser access and cause problems. It is recommended that you wait for an updated ROM instead.
