Last night me and my girlfriend were laying in bed and we heard sporadic clicking sounds coming from my desk. It was the sound of her evo's camera shutter snapping pics. We picked up the phone and the screen was going nuts, like someone was sliding their fingers all over the place. We reboot and everything was fine.

Fast forward to 530 this morning. I look at my phone, and the start bar is compressed to the right side of the screen. I reboot my phone and it returned to normal. I went to check on some pics I took yesterday, and I see 50 black pictures were taken with my phone between 1147pm and 1201am last night. I assume while I was sleeping my phone was displaying similar activity. was this a recent bug, or just a strange coincidence?

Sounds more like you have an app that's acting up, or someone accessing it without your knowledge.

Since there are apparently two Evos doing this, who has had access to both of them?

That's scary. If my evo starts clicking at night, I'll smash the thing with a hammer! I am not taking any chances. Especially if it turns out that someone or something else is accessing the phone.

Yes they did it was last Sunday nite. It messed up mine I had to return it. Sprint gave a new one out the box. What mine did was it freeze up on the web wouldn't do nothing try to refresh it the white screen with HTC with green letters would come on it was rebooting it did it ever time on the web. It was they pushed an prl update through that nite. Sprint tech look at it and it was something with the software that happen to it from the prl they pushed through last Sunday nite. My new one is fine. He said they were having issues with it since sprint pushed it through.

They don't push PRL updates as far as I'm aware. You have to manually update the PRL. PRL updates don't do anything but update the list of nearest cell towers near you. Can't see why they'd push something like that to your phone, nor why it would cause rebooting of your phone.

Khassy I spoke to Sprint yes they do. Customer service said they did last weekend also the cooperate store said the same thing. They replace my EVO cause it did something to my software. If u don't believe call them Sprint they will tell they did last weekend. I woke up last Sunday morning my EVO said prl updated hit ok. It was in sleep mode all nite and didn't update it. I called them the rep said prl was pushed through last weekend. Thanks.

Sprint people say all sorts of things that aren't necessarily true. I still don't believe it. Smiley It makes no sense whatsoever that it would affect your phone by causing it to reset when using the browser or the other issues you had with it. It just sounds like a handy excuse instead of them figuring out what the actual issue was. I suppose its remotely possible, but extremely unlikely, imo.
