I just noticed there is a voicemail upgrade today... from V.5.1.0.32 to V.5.1.0.34

No idea yet on what it changed.

To get this update, go to your Visual Voicemail app, then press Menu > Settings > Check for upgrade

If you notice anything different, please post it here.

Curious if it may have addressed the bad sound quality some mentioned. I've never had issues with mine, but it's possible.

Ever since the update on the voicemail - I get dancing girls that appear each time I have vm... might just be me though;)

Updating mine now

EDIT: It keeps saying error installing, and won't install. have hit the Retry button 3 times now. Any ideas?

This is Jack from Sprint, this upgrade added bluetooth support so you could hear your VVM's through your bluetooth device using your EVO.  We were responding to several customers who were requesting this feature.

So... big brother is watching us Wink.......thanks jack...there has also been millions of complains about the fps settings... therefore feel it is warranted to create an update to adjust that as well... that you for your cooperation and understanding, i will be waiting to receive the update soon.... Grin

The short answer is that we are working on it, but its not a quick fix. 

Without going into too much detail, we are running all visual voicemails through a noise cancellation algorythem in order to remove background noise imparted by the compressions and decompression through the network.  It does a great job removing the background noise, but sometimes the voices sound like they have been slightly machined.

We are working to resolving the compression issues so we can eventually stop using noise cancellation.
