Looking into the upgrade issue, not sure why people are having issues with it all of a sudden.  I just uninstalled my upgrade, and now I am having the issue as well.  Hoping its just an issue with the upgrade server.  More to come....

Hey all...newbie here...appreciate all the comments on this topic.  I too, am having issues with my visual voicemail.  1 hour on the phone with support solved nothing.  I don't receive any voicemails through the visual voicemail application and can only access them through calling voicemail.  I'm attempting to download the new update to the .34 version and it errors out every time.

I'm really hoping to fix this without having to do a hard reset.  It's been working fine until tonight!!

Finally was able to download and install the new update....still didn't receive any visual voicemails....knowing there are 3 messages waiting for me.

Shutting down the phone and removing the battery....will advise after reboot if it works again.

OK, I think the upgrade server is back to normal.  I was able to upgrade.  I uninstalled the upgrade and was able to upgrade again.

there was definitely something going on... i was getting voice mails but the app wasn't downloading them. Until about 11:20pm EST (last night) it downloaded all the voicemails to the app (even after I had deleted them in the old fashioned way of checking for voicemails)

Thanks to Jack for taking care of my issue.  For future reference.  If you ever are stuck with not being able to get any visual voicemail - but your voicemail works if you call it.  What it took for me was leaving numerous messages on the voicemail which eventually resets the visual voicemail application and they then start showing up on your phone.

For me it took about 6 voicemails from a landline and I started to receive the 4th or 5th message I left and everyone from that point on.

Thanks again to Jack for all the help!

I have not updated voice mail to the new level. I wonder how many are like me where everything works fine and I don't need the update? Jack, is this something that will work the 1st time now and do I really need it?

I may have not noticed it before, but the contact photos look a little smaller and cleaner and I now see a little icon that tells me which number the call came from (cell, work, home, etc) Not sure if that was there before the upgrade.

Great to know about the bluetooth, it was very spotty before.

Need some help here.  Problem is this:

Notifications tells me;  Voicemail-  A Mandatory update is now available.  Ok- so I click on and the Sprint Updater starts to run : Upgrading Voicemail application.  Then SPerint Updater shows me this:

Sorry, there was a problem installing the update.  Retry--- Installation failed.  No matter how many  retrys- the same message shows.

This is driving me crazy.  It won't go away in Notifications and it won't update.

Help!!!!

According to this thread, posted right below the one we're in, there's a new update. Just keep trying it is all I can say. If you cant get it to work, take it to Sprint or call them.

Notifications can usually be cleared by hitting the Clear button. That made mine go away. *shrug*

Pop the battery and retry it after a fresh boot up, let us know if that resolves the issue.
