It couldn't hurt to reinstall handcent. I could never get ChompSMS or GoSMS to send MMS for some reason.

ok...so I did a factory reset; followed all the instructions in previous posts on how to backup; and proceeded to do it wrong!!!  Huh? hahahahahahahaa

the part I missed was the actual backing up of my data! what a dum-a$$ I am!  Shocked...but, so far, I am able to get MMS & hoping my problem is solved; just none of my data was saved, sucks.

thanks for all your help Khassy...

I am happy that the Handcent issue was resolved but seriously? Really?  When did the topic of answers from the PRL 01115 go from needing and answer to talking about Handcent issues?
I am still confused why the PRL update whent from what it did to 01115.  And my Evo is working great

Here you go.  From digiblur on xda.

"For the curious folks... 01115 to 60678 comparison.

Basically 1115 is exactly like 60678 except that it adds EVDO roaming on VZW in the two areas below.

PRL Comparison of PRLS 60678 to 1115

-Changes-

SID/NID 340/65535 Alltel - FORT PIERCE FL- EVDO changed to: Enabled
EV-Scan: Verizon Wireless - 0080:0580(Same) - PCS/525 PCS/550 PCS/625 CLR/589 CLR/630 CLR/770 CLR/594
EV-Scan: Alltel - 0086:5900(Same) - PCS/525 PCS/550 PCS/625 CLR/589 CLR/630 CLR/770 CLR/594

It went from one to the other when he ASKED about it while troubleshooting the problem. That's what people do here. If you read the WHOLE thread, you can easily follow the progression of the discussion. And if you want to get technical, the OP didn't ask what was in the PRL but WHY the PRL number changed.

I updated my PRL one time on my own and that was a nightmare. After updating just the PRL, my Apps (Market and Sirius) didn't work and a few others. I went into my local Sprint repair center and they basically just reset the phone (I could have did that if I wanted to lose my data!). After that I had to still call Sprint Tech support immeditately after I got out so that they could send me some type of update to my phone. After that issue, last week they sent me an automatic PRL update to my phone, which I didn't have a choice about, and again a bunch  of my Apps stopped working. After yelling all over at Sprint Tech support, they gave me the usual, "you have to call back from a different phone" garbage line, but I had to go to work, could play those games anymore that morning. An hour later oddly, the Apps all started working again and I got a request from my phone to update ALL Apps, which I just had to click a yes. Updating my PRL has only screwed up my phone whenever it has taken place, so I dont touch it voluntarily anymore. My phone is working just fine right now, no need for me to rock the boat.
