So i have had the Evo from about the 2nd week it was released and have not been able to remove it from my finger tips. I love the phone and all of its features!! so much that i had bought a ballistic case for extra protection..over the weekend i took the case off just to clean it up. i rested the phone on the kitchen counter and my mother knocks it off shattering my screen!! i have the total equipment protection plan from sprint so i gave them a call but they claimed that i would have to go through insurance and i would have to pay a deductible of $100 to get a REFURBISHED PHONE!?!?!? last time i did that with my blackberry it was only software problems, speaker problems, charging problems with the phone they sent me. Really dont wanna do that again i would like to fix this screen on this phone or get a brand new phone from sprint....its ridiculous that we pay insurance for these phones and they just keep charging you when you use it..weve been a customer to them for years with over 7 phones and we get no benefits. Any suggestions on approaching this situation to try and get a new phone?? or have them fix this screen?? thanks in advance

My wifes phone had this happen to it. I bought a screen glass off ebay for $14.00 that was OEM. It has Sprint and HTC on it. It took me about 1/2 hour to replace, but her phone works great. I did not think I could do it but I did. There is a great video on youtube that shows how to do it.
