I searched on Overheating topics and read/browsed all of them. I am waiting on my third reburbished EVO to arrive. I have been told at the Sprint store there is a known issue with the charging port failing causing overheating. Even a brand new battery will not power up the phone. I lost 7 months of contacts due to that, and of course my not saving to Goggle. My second phone lasted two weeks. Same thing. Toast, no way to turn back on.
1. Any updates on this?
2. I saw some hints about probs. with apps/widgets, etc.
3. The silicone and hard plastic dual case sure seems like a hot box, but they keep insisting it's not a problem. I am using standard OEM battery/charger.
4. If I have to try a different phone, anyone opinionated about a possible replacement? I got the EVO because it had the largest screen.
