Visual Voicemail sound quality stinks now. The sound quality of my messages was great with VV on my Instinct. Now all of a sudden with HTC Evo it sounds like a very badly compressed sound file. WTF? Angry

Anyone else notice this?

Yep, sucks on mine too. My Sanyo 8400 flip phone sounded great.

yes it does...very badly!!! I don't know why it's like that, but I hope they can fix it. Sounds like people are in a sound tunnel

I agree.  Phone calls are the same way.  They're clear, but just weak as hell.

Weird. Even on a very weak signal mine have sounded way better than they did on my Blackberry.

i had to install it on my TP and didnt like it at all, and if you didnt unactivate it you were screwed for life.

On this phone it works (unless im having a problem with my phone) and sounds good.

I thought it was just my EVO that had this problem. I had google voice as my voicemail but i like to use visual voicemail... BUT it sounds horrendous!!

Has anyone taken the phone to BB or Sprint? Someone out there has to have an idea!!

It can't be possible that such an amazing phone have this ridiculous issue... (phone call quality is great just don't get why this VM playback is so terrible)!!!    Cry

The voicemail playback definitely sounds off; its harsh and sounds like its been recorded too loudly. I doubt its the phone, extremely annoying nonetheless...

I am in Louisville, Ky and it sounded fine on my instinct but harsh and over compressed on Evo. I am wondering what they did. It couldn't be the phone I don't think??

After having my Evo for 2 weeks now, I finally decided to do a search on this voicemail issue.
I can't believe the horrible sound quality. Sounds like someone using a megaphone in a tin can. I don't know if I am happy or concerned that I am not the only one....I know just about every thing has to have at least one pitfall it seems lol, but this seems so basic!
