Anybody else type in a phone number, hit call, and the fudgeing phone just sits there and stares at you and doesn't call?  Sometimes it does it 15 seconds later, sometimes not at all, it's really freaking frustrating.

Only time I have problems like that is when I'm in a weak signal area and it can't decide if it wants to use the super bad Sprint signal or roaming. How's your signal when it's doing this?

How long have you had it? I'm wondering if it's not programmed correctly. If you've had it a while and it's made calls normally in the past, then try updating the PRL in menu>settings>system updates, then try pulling the battery for 30 seconds, and if all of that fails the dreaded hard reset may be in order. Sad

I bought mine Thursday...

On the way home, I called my brother to give him my new number...  Heard his voice and the call dropped.  Thought it was just a fluke.  Everyone that I tried to call or anyone that called me ended up after 2 secs dropping the call.  Made sure 4g was turned on...  went into settings...  went through the whole process of connecting, connected, and then immediately disconnected.  Took it back to Sprint store yesterday, they have no clue what is wrong with it.  Gave me a new phone, same thing.  The advanced tech people that Sprint called can't fix it.  They told me to wait until Monday and if it hasn't fixed itself, they will give me a new number.  Apparently there is a problem with the switches...?  and the way the number is connected.

LAME!  So, I have chitty internet access.  Chitty calls.  I'm a new Sprint customer and this isn't a good first impression.  None of the customer care people have seen a problem like this, especially with the Evo 4.

Go to Settings>System Update and update your PRL. See if that helps.
