At one point this was being called the Samsung Galaxy Pro S... it is now officially the Samsung Epic 4G.
Aside from the 4 inch Super AMOLED screen instead of 4.3, physical keyboard, and 5MP camera instead of 8; This is a really nice device that can compete with the EVO!

I'm 99% sure this will be the wife's new phone come january.  She's been hooked on the Moment since I started looking at the EVO, and this looks like the next step.

This is definitely a nice device and if the Evo hadnt have been released yet, I would have been jumping on this one.

BUT the Evo is here so on this one I ride until the next BETTER thing.

It does look cheap...and after my last experience with the Pre I dont know that I would mess with anything that has a slider.

Yea, I guess yall are right.

The phone does have the plastic-y look (of course, because it's plastic!)

I guess sliders overall seem cheaper to me for some reason....

Using pliers to squeeze superglue doesn't end well

I've actually never used a slider for that reason. They always looked way too easily breakable. I'm not incredibly hard on my phones, but anytime you have to "open" a phone to use it, it just begs for mechanical failure of the "hinges". Kinda how my old flip phones usually had hinge problems after they'd been opened way too many times. That's actually why I went with the Blackberry I had, because I couldn't find a phone I liked that wasn't some form of slider.

The phone looks good, but I know I'd figure out how to rip that little keyboard tray right off in some bizarre accident.

LOL! Superglue is no longer uncapped inside the house.  Grin It's an outside only activity now!

So if we need to fix something on say, the refrigerator... it goes outside first. lol
