Default Sprint Music Store and Digital Lounge

Sprint is telling me that all the music I have purchased from them cant be used on Evo b/c Evo doesn't come with the application necessary.

I cant believe that after spending lots of $ on music, Sprint tell's me that the licence was only good for 90 days and would only give me a $20.00 credit.

My questions are:

1. Any one have this same issue.
2. Any suggestions on a work around?
3. What 3rd party app can i use so if I spend money on music i own it and can use it on any phone or device?

Thanks
Walter

Moving my SD card from old phone to new one doesn't work.

Transfer all your files (Make Copies) from your old SD on to your Computer. Then Connect your Phone to your computer (follow the mounting and unmounting directions for your sd) Then transfer the files over.

I believe the issue is the file formats aren't compatible. Music downloads were in .kov or .kos format, can't remember which. But the Evo doesn't have the ability to play that format to my knowledge. Unless there's "an app for that" someone has found.

They are .KOZ files and your correct that is the problem. Let me know if you find any solutions.

I am not sure what to do b/c they still work if I use my old phone but I don't want to carry both phones. Sprint made me feel like it was only me that had this problem.

I feel that if I paid for the song I should be able to use it anywhere.

thats why amazon and other MP3 online stores are using DRM free files... you buy them once and use them anywhere...

That's why I never purchased any songs from sprint... I use amazon mp3.

Just did a little searching, try this link. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...9013251AAlx91V Sorry, couldn't test it myself since I'm not near my pc right now, so no guarantees.

Ouch!

I'm glad I never purchased any music from Sprint. Plus, their "store" seemed lame anyways. :P
